Dinner at Yaki Yaki Bo Teppanyaki restaurant

I've tried almost all the restaurants under the RE & S restaurant chain. Tonight I met up my evil sista for some Teppanyaki cuisine at Yaki Yaki Bo at Nex.

There is a good variety of food items cooked on hotplate on the menu. I picked a set meal while my friend who wasn't really hungry picked a fried rice, and we shared 2 appetizers.

My Lollipop Mango $4.90++, a concoction of mango and passionfruit juice with Sprite and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was quite sweet and fruity, well balanced off with the creamy vanilla ice cream.

Friend's Candy Apple $4.60++, a mixture of Ribena and apple juice with Sprite and topped with canned lychees. This was a tad too sweet for my friend's liking and she had to mix it with ice water.

The appetizers, Pumpkin & Sweet potato slices $4.90++ and Shitake mushroom $4.20++. The japanese pumpkin and sweet potato were very sweet and a delight to eat. The shitake mushroom was soft and juicy...delish too.

My friend's Hotate fried rice $5.90++, quite well fried and flavorful. The scallop pieces were quite smallish though.

My Seafood set meal $25.90++, the set consists of the following items..

Refreshing salad greens served with yummy japanese style dressing. The dressing was tangy and the veggies were fresh and had a nice crunch, very good.

Miso soup with nice soy bean paste flavor and savory seaweed.

The most interesting dish of the day, Mini Chawanmushi served in an onion ring...egg tart style! Egg was smooth and velvety and contains chunks of crabstick and shitake mushroom...nice!

Stir fried beansprouts, sweet and crunchy!

Salmon in teriyaki sauce, salmon was fresh and cooked just right retaining its soft tender texture. It tasted great with the teriyaki sauce.

3 in 1 seafood platter, 3pcs of mid size prawns, 2pcs of chunky scallops and some squid rings fried with garlic. The seafood were all extremely fresh and cooked to perfection with slight char on the surface and succulent center...thumbs up!

Overall dining experience was good, waiting staffs were prompt and polite. Food quality was above expectations and priced reasonably. They made a good decision to cover the open concept kitchen with glass, so that patrons didn't need to suffer from smelly hair and clothing after their meals here. Definitely worth repeated visits.
