The entire restaurant has full length glass windows show casing the priceless views from day to night. Interior decor is kept simple so patrons can concentrate on the food.
Table setting with elegant tableware, and cutlery with east meet west fusion theme.
The Sky High Tea is $39++ per pax, consists of Chef Justin Quek's signature Truffle Xiao Long Bao, Sweet and Savory finger food and Premium tea from Newby of London.
The starters, crispy mushroom bites and mushroom soup in espresso cups. The Foie Gras Xiao Long Bao was expertly made with truffle infused soup sealed within each individual baos. Thumbs up.
Then the 3-tier sweet and savory goodies arrived. There were 10 items in total, 3 savories and 7 sweets. The serving staff didn't give any description of the food, so we explored them on our own.
The savory items were delicious. The egg mayo bread roll had hints of truffle oil in it. Salad prawn on bread with flying fish roe and Mango salsa wrap all tasted wonderful.
The sweets items were more of a hits and misses affair, with the Pandan Gula Melaka Macarons outshining the rest. The scones with fruit jam was very dry, the creme brulee was alright, the rest was quite forgettable.
Last but not least, Milo ice cream was served to end the meal on a sweet note. This was pretty good, it has crunchy bits within that added extra texture to the dessert.
Our dining experience was nice overall, the food turned out to be better than expected (reviews we read online wasn't so positive). The price is in line with other restaurants of the same grade. We have no complains on the service and adored the restaurant's breathtaking ocean view. So it's all good.
