Dinner at Boon Tong Kee @Boon Keng

We headed to dinner at Boon Tong Kee after our visit to the Cherry Blossom exhibit at Gardens by the Bay. It's been a while since we last ate here, the restaurant is still thriving well, at 8pm we had to wait 15mins for a table in the indoor dining area with aircon.

We quickly placed order for a sharing portion of chicken with rice for 2pax (Chicken $10++, Rice $0.60 ea.). The chicken here has maintained its standards, smooth slippery skin with jelly underneath, and juicy tender meat. Thumbs up. We loved their super fragrant chicken rice too!

As usual, we had some Zichar dishes to go with the chicken rice meal. They do them well and many are homely style food. Our must order here is the Claypot Pork Liver $12++, it rivals the best pork liver dish, in my opinion, served at Shin Yeh, double thumbs up!

Coffee Pork Ribs $12++ and Stir fried Long beans w/ diced Beancurd & mixed Nuts $10++ were of high standards as well. Recommended.

Hubby and I had a very satisfying dinner, thoroughly enjoyed the warm and homely hospitality from the serving aunties. This place is great for hosting elderly folks for a meal or two without breaking the bank!
