Ah 東! Teh House

Hubby told me about this 'quite new' dining place at Punggol Promenade, so we decided to try it on Sat. We knew it will be crowded so we went at 10pm. Although there's no queue but the cafe is still 90% full.

Table setting and menu...

I ordered a Ginger lemongrass drink (cold) $3.90++ while hubby had kopi-O $1.50++...the drink is quite alright got ginger and lemongrass taste but a bit diluted with the ice.

Ginger lemongrass drink (cold)...not bad.

For main dish I ordered the 餐蛋面 dry $6.90++. It tasted alright, basically is instant noodles with soy sauce and sesame oil plus 3 slices of luncheon meat, a sunny side up egg and some vege.

餐蛋面 dry...so so

Hubby had the Singapore laksa $8.90++...serving quite generous, got 5pcs huge prawns, a whole hard boiled egg, half youtiao and some fish cakes. I tasted the gravy...not bad. This one quite worth the price.

Singapore laksa...nice.

Huge prawn!

We ordered a XO sauce fried carrot cake $7.90++ for sharing...its quite good, very crispy and have little cubes of  luncheon meat inside...topped with pork floss...nice.

XO carrot cake...nice.

The service here is ok, their staffs are mostly teenagers, they are abit careless and drops bowls and plates pretty often (around 3 times during our 1hr dining time)...hubby and I got splashed with chilli/curry sauce on our feets cos the ah boy dropped the plates near our table. He did apologised and provided plenty of serviettes for us to clean up.

Verdict - visit once in a while is ok.
